This special someone will have strong interactive design and communication skills with an interest in media, marketing, design, art, fashion, music and culture. Responsibilities: You will work as an apprentice to the head of our content delivery division. You will design web sites, online advertising, t-shirts, print collateral, event branding, posters, CD covers, and presentation graphics. You will work on a project basis and be given tons of responsibility. You will be self-driven, productive, team-oriented, fast-paced, and most importantly, happy! Schedule: This is a 10 AM - 6 PM Mon-Fri position, with occasional late nights when we are finishing a project. The apprenticeship is for three months after which, you will be evaluated for full time employment. Incentives: This position pays $400 and a subway pass monthly. You will work in a creative, fun environment with great clients and award-winning advertising and marketing talent. You will learn great trade skills from our design team and you will attend A-list events. You will be tapped into a network of fun, influential companies and individuals that will help you open many doors in the future and by the end of the apprenticeship you will have established connections with some of the most influential people in Manhattan. task I.LAYOUT/ILLUSTRATION/ TYPOGRAPHY Every Friday night thehappycorp global plays host to “the official happy hour”. Originally conceived as a venue for our employees to relax and welcome the weekend, The happy hour gained speed rather quickly. Friday nights now feature lots of friends, lots of clients, lots of pizza, lots of drinks, and the next party just might get thrown in your honor! If we end up liking the cut of your jib, we will invite all of our friends over to pat your back and pour you a drink. Thing is, we will need an invitation to email to everybody; your first task is to create the header image for your big party’s invitation. Remember:

task II.T-SHIRT DESIGN thehappycorp global loves T shirts and would like you to help us create an official T shirt for the company. The design should align with our current aesthetic as well as our business philosophy. Please keep this design within a 13 by 13 inch area and use one color; if you get the job, you’re going to be silk-screening them by hand. Download the template and get to work! |
task III.GUT CHECK Here at thehappycorp, projects come in the door one day and have to be ready to go the next. every one of us brings something special to the table: some of the illustrators are also writers, some of the designers are photographers, the IT guy writes music and most importantly, we can always get the job done by dipping into our pool of collected talents.
