Last night we went to the 87th Art Directors Club Awards Gala, an event we creative directed with help from Trollbäck.

The keystone of the design aesthetic was The Wall, a 58 foot swath of white that designer Jon Chonko traversed for two days with a carpenter’s pencil, painstakingly writing THE AWARDS with nothing more than subtle line gradations.

We know it sucks being underfunded and creative. We were poor and creative once. Then we got funded and stayed creative. So now it's easier for us to realize our great ideas.

We know some of you have been waiting for a certain golden opportunity. And here it is. D&AD is holding its 2006 Global Awards competition.

Last year, D&AD counted 59 countries represented by submissions from around the world. The U.N. has 191. This is seriously international. global presence.

300 judges from all over the globe will be evaluating all work based on creative merit alone. There will be no categories differentiating
