Friday night was the final Happy Hour at our house on Spring Street. The place that started as Doug’s apartment on the 3rd Floor and grew to a bustling workplace of more than 25 people expanding to the 2nd Floor. This Friday it was a like a reverse exorcism. A few minutes ago Nicole Richie went into Patisserie across the street from our soon-to-be-empty house on Spring Street to buy a cup of coffee and people were standing on lamp posts like she was pregnant with the next Dalai Lama getting ready to dole out mana, fish and unleavened loaves.

Come on, New York. You can do better than Nicole Richie.

We’re getting ready to shove off from Spring St. The walls are bare; our rooms are pretty much down to essential robots and some power tools. Even the deer head is gone, mounted in our new house on Broome St.

This weekend we formed a construction crew which included Me, Matt Spangler, Randy Makiej, Jonny Santos, and on Sunday, My Dad. We went over to our new office space to build a raised conference room, that will provide for rolling storage underneath. Since the HVAC is in mid-installation, we worked in the dry summer heat.
