The Technical Manager oversees all network and desktop support and maintenance. You will have a strong grasp of budgets, reporting, deadlines, and how the quality of your efforts affect the overall organization in relation to technology. You will work with the management team to plan the companies future infrastructure and manage outside resources brought in to complement the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Desktop Administration:
• Mac Desktop Support
• Basic PHP management (calendaring, PHPlist, wordpress)
• Unix administration
• Network Connectivity Administration ( Mac + PC )

• Network Administration:
• Manage the company Network and provide day-to-day support
• Continually expand upon documentation of file server and network structure
• Identify opportunities for network expansion and efficiency
• Administer enterprise wide major software upgrades

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Strong mysql database experience
• Network infrastructure planning
• Experience maintaining consumer web applications
• Experience administering Apple desktop and laptop hardware systems
• Excellent knowledge on Apple OS support and trouble-shooting
• Knowledge of asterisk/trixbox
• Knowledge of wireless networks
• PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Linux (at least basic command-line skills)
• MAC OS X Server 10.4 administration, specifically open-directory, dns, ftp and web services.
• Assisting MAC users remotely and configuring and trouble-shooting issues
• Ability to perform in adverse situations
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Expertise installing, configuring and troubleshooting cross platform Network Printers
• Troubleshooting applications including Final Cut Studio 2, Adobe Creative Suite 3
• Expertise in troubleshooting and configuring Apple’s L2TP VPN
• Knowledge installing, configuring and troubleshooting font applications
• Should have strong knowledge of tools like Apple Remote Desktop
• Create, maintain Open-Directory based network accounts
• Maintain, modify and create organizational units and group policies
• Administer backup server and daily server backup jobs with Retrospect software
• Manage tape backup system
• Create and maintain email accounts and distribution lists
• Administer and support VOIP telephony system including software and hardware
• Maintain Firewalls
• Work with vendors in ordering products and seeing process through successful implementation
