JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be the main developer for various programming projects. You will be your own department and work closely with the producers, designers and creative director to manage all technical work. This will include build websites, and other interactive applications for both client and internal projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Semantic, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS (2+ years)
PHP & mySQL (1+ years)

Experience with Wordpress 2.4 - 2.6 - Must have a thorough understanding of the template hierarchy, actions and filters, and be able to create themes and plugins from scratch, or be able to modify existing plugins

Basic Photoshop and Illustrator

Basic knowledge on how to purchase and transfer domains

Basic knowledge of cPanel, especially password-protecting directories on the server, creating and administering email accounts, and creating FTP usernames and passwords

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multi-task on many concurrent projects

Sound technical judgment that comes from ability to synthesize consumer perspective with complex business/product needs

Team player and diplomatic

Desire to be pro-active, and learn new technologies

Be a problem-solver and listener on all client engagements

Deep knowledge of blogs, social networks, and digital media

DESIRED SKILLS

Actionscript 3.0, especially displaying dynamic data from PHP or XML

Javascript

Experience with jquery, prototype, or similar library to create effects and animations

Experience with Zencart

Experience with Smarty

Previous work experience in the digital media industry

Working knowledge of ad tracking and statistical software
Self starter who enjoys entrepreneurial environments
