When we moved into our new house last summer we stained the wood floors black. Everything black. Nice and even. Black.

Now the floor under Logan’s desk looks like a bear has been rooting around on it for past six months.

Everyone else’s floor looks normal–maybe some chair scrapes–but still black.

We really don’t know what Logan has been up to. Maybe it’s his cowboy boots. Maybe he like to line dance while he writes.

Not only is the stain rubbed clean off, but the boards are worn down flush with the grooves. That takes some doing.
