WHO: New York’s once and future-great urban athletes.

WHAT: Idiotarod shopping cart race. Teams of 5 “athletes” strap themselves to a shopping cart and mush for miles through a wintry mix in Brooklyn. Contestants are encouraged to modify their sleds and their bodies. The Idiotarod usually turns into a giant costume-parade free-for-all.

WHERE: Starting points all over Brooklyn.
