Color me whatever

 | by your friend

Color labels and moodtags are all the rage. You can organize your Gmail with fat color labels and earlier this year Moody came out with a way to tag your iTunes play lists by mood.

Select the mood of each track on your playlist in the candy-color mood matrix and then select the mood you want to hear, be it slow and stormy or frenetic violin concerto. Moody will make sure you stay catastrophically happy or dismal, all day long.

You can watch a Quicktime demonstration on Crayonroom.com to see how it works.

We like the way the colors on Gmail and Moody look as much as we enjoy the functionality or expedited organization; in fact, we probably like the colors and way it feels to apply color to bits of information more than we like actually being organized.

Because while the Gmail labels do help identify emails quickly, they also look tasty: colorlumps of red, gray and green stacked in your inbox. That’s probably the best part.
