the air travel kills us, but its not bad overall for such a big family
Since driving a daisy chain of SUVs through the woods is not the most environmentally friendly way to spend a Saturday morning (as opposed to eating Smacks and watching cartoons) we’ve been thinking of ways to offset our negative environmental impact.
The Nature Conservancy’s carbon footprint calculator estimates that thehappycorp family produces 120 tons of CO2 a year, which is below the national average. Air travel is the big killer; we hardly ever drive cars and our trip to New Jersey is responsible for a miniscule amount of that total. Even so, we made a donation to The Nature Conservancy to reduce the impact of our SUV picnic.
Obviously, not going on a Range Rover excursion at all would be the best way to minimize our footprint on the environment. But because we’re going to give it a whirl we’re happy that Land Rover is doing their part through the Land_e concept research and CO2 offset programme to neutralize the effects of their carbon footprint.
