thehappycorp welcomes new designer, Jeff Baxter
| by your friend
Jeff Baxter comes to thehappycorp by way of R/GA where he worked extensively on the award winning Nike+ campaign, the one that makes your shoes talk to your iPod and won just about every design award there is.
He has a slightly detectable Southern accent, a holdover from his time in Knoxville studying at the University of Tennessee. He found it difficult to snowboard in the South (picture young Baxter surveying one of Robert E. Lee’s battlefields with a board under his arm), and jumped ship to NYC as soon as he had his degree and became engaged to a lovely young architect named Cheryl.
Jeff’s list of accolades is too lengthy to enumerate here, but his daily photo project EVERYDAY will give you a look into the kind of tenacious creativity Jeff brings to thehappycorp.
When you meet Jeff ask him about his curious aversion to jeans. We believe this dates back to his days in Lee’s army. The Rebs didn’t get to wear denim.
UPDATE: Baxter has switched sides. He now rides for the Union. Read: he wears denim every day.
