thehappycorp is proud to announce the launch of the newest beer from our friends from Brooklyn Brewery. Local 1 is a Belgian-style ale brewed from raw sugar from the island of Mauritius, Belgian yeast, and German barley malt.

thehappycorp’s AAARRR team, lead by Doug Jaeger with help from Cat Choi created a video and website experience to celebrate the launch of Local 1. Shot by Brooklyn based cinematographer and Barcade co-owner, Jon Miller, the video shows the creation of this exciting new beer while Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster Garrett Oliver leads you through the process. Mr. Oliver is known for frequently producing special small batches and this week, the company celebrated the release of Brooklyn Local 1, its first bottle-conditioned Belgian-style ale. The bottle was designed by the legendary Milton Glaser - each with its own poppable cork and can be found across the city at Whole Foods, D’Agostino, Food Emporium, Trader Joe’s, and Fresh Direct among others.
