Brain music
"But it wasn\\\'t a rock...it was a rock lob-ster"
Randy Dotinga of Wired Magazine reported today on Dan Levitin, a former rock producer turned neuroscientist. Levitin made the change from rock to rack in 1990. In the 16 years since his transition he’s amassed an arsenal of valuable knowledge and research which he shares in his new book: This Is Your Brain on Music: The Science of a Human Obsession.
Dotinga and Levitin touch on evolution, talent, chocolate, the mind vs the brain, emotions, rock-star sex appeal, earworms, prozac, Joni Mitchell, the animal kingdom, and, of course; music.
Something else to make you happy, like music to our ears.
