Amy's Babies Launches: www.amysbabies.com
Leading maternal and child health expert launches a new brand and web portal on the art and science of breastfeeding.
September 26, 2005 “ A lifetime of experience and expertise becomes accessible to parents and professionals throughout the world, as Amy's Babies launches its new website on September 28, 2005. Dedicated to fostering the acceptance of breastfeeding as the healthiest choice for every baby, the site will serve as a resource for parents and health care professionals alike.
While the parent and professional communities are largely aware of breastfeeding's benefits, the far-reaching significance of these benefits appears less emphasized to the general population. Amy's Babies recognizes that additional information and support are necessary to make breastfeeding an obvious choice for parents. Amy's Babies has responded to this need by integrating educational materials with an encouraging, community-oriented approach.
The website contains a central core through which both experienced and novice parents can find relevant news, general guidance, and connect with other individuals just like them. Proud parents have a place to share stories about their new arrivals, and the improved online store allows parents and professionals to find and order the products they need, quickly and easily.
The launch of Amy's Babies features exciting new products embedded in a new modern design. The product line will include an eighth edition of Amy Spangler's extremely popular BREASTFEEDING, A Parent's Guide, along with BREASTFEEDING, Keep it Simple and BREASTFEEDING, Your Guide to a Healthy, Happy Baby. Amy's speaking schedule is featured as well, so that those interested in attending can plan ahead. Visitors can now access the quarterly newsletter, Feeding Times, which is quickly becoming a must-have resource for parents and professionals. All of the materials have proven their utility as clear, concise, and accurate guides. Hospitals and health care professionals across the U.S. have been using Amy's Babies' products for twenty years and have found them to be simple yet effective educational tools.
Amy Spangler, the president of Amy's Babies, is a registered nurse, international board certified lactation consultant, former president of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA), and former chair of the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee.
