thehappycorp global Headquarters: gets a bit bigger.

 | by doug jaeger

On June 2, 2005 thehappycorp global will launch it’s New York City Headquarters at 56 Spring Street. The firm has been growing steadily since it’s start in late 2003.

Originally serving as a living space for founder Doug Jaeger and his brother, an Accenture consultant, the top floor 2000 square foot apartment has been a space for fashion photo shoots for clients including Alex Gaines, Stacy Sestcarr, Deadly Squire. It has served as a warehouse for Dooker, the popular t-shirt line based on political themes, MoSoSo software engineers, and aspiring actors in need of a wireless connection, and a haven for creative stars like Johnny Vulkan of Anomaly and the elusive hired gun Daniel Chu.

This Sunday the entire building at 56 Spring Street transitions to the nerve center for thehappycorp as the company and its crew expand to both floors. The expanded space comes complete with an additional 2250 sq ft of space and 400 sq ft of outdoor patio space that will host lunches, screenings and private events during the year.
The new space has been aquired to make room for more employees given the growth of the content division AAARRR!!! and it’s successful work with Anomaly, Icon Nicholson, Brouillard, Avenue A/Razorfish.

“I am excited to have personal space again” says Doug. “Thankfully showering in front of co-workers will no longer be a part of an ordinary day”

Partner Matt Spangler says, “We are excited to continue our expansion in Nolita. The neighborhood continues to develop as a new epicenter of technology, media, and fashion and it provides a perfect backdrop for the groundbreaking clientele finding their way to thehappycorp door.

All the best with the new expansion.

Please keep in mind that your building is in a residential neighborhood that includes families with young children as well as senior citizens. Please conduct your activities during appropriate hours so that any noise and commotion associated with such activities do not disturb your neighbors. Thanks.

    A neighbor and longtime resident

I hope that we weren’t too loud. We ushered people out before midnight, which I believe is earlier than the close of GATSBY’s and SPRING LOUNGE. Will try as hard as we can to be respectful of our neighbors within reason. I dream of a place that is quiet when I want it to be and that place isn’t NEW YORK. Unfortunately this city attracts people that enjoy music and dancing. If we are ever too loud, or out of control feel free to call our customer support hotline: (646) 613 1220.
