Earlier this year, the police shut down an art exhibit without realizing that it was all an elaborate ruse concocted with the intention of causing a stir that would most likely result in it being shut down. It was titled “The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/The Assassination of Barack Obama”.
Next Wednesday, The Art Directors Club is giving Yazmany Arboleda, the artist behind the controversial non-exhibit, a venue for an actual exhibit based on what the fake exhibit actually would have been. It’s titled “The Assassination of Art, When Politics and Art Collide”. There will also be a panel discussion about Yazmany’s “The Keller Gates Project”.
The most notable part of “The Assassination of Art” is a giant black penis. It’s really a sight to see. Truth be told, giant is a gross understatement.
