Happy Pills

Back from Barcelona MocoLoco is spreading the Happy Pill contagion.

Blooming between two buildings on Avinguda del Portal de l’Angel is a tiny store with a pink cross called “Happy Pills.” Once inside you choose from dozens of gummy candies to fill a pill bottle that you seal with a label of your choosing in English or Catalan.

The labels say things like “Against the Mondays,” and “Against the Unbearable Lightness of Being.”

The genius of Happy Pills is that they offer nothing unique. Every good feeling you take away you brought with you into the store. They’ve just figured out a way to tap into it with smart design. It’s like Angelina’s pink ballet slippers and Dumbo’s feather: the magic was in you all along.
