Ad Wizards vs. Ballet Dancers. LVHRD Announces the Competitors for the Vending Machine Challenge.

Oct 14 2005 NEW YORK, NY At 2.00 AM (EST) Beauregard H. Montgomery of the LVHRD Foundation publicly announced the competing teams in LVHRD’s Vending Machine Challenge, a dietary duel in which opposing teams are charged with the task of eating the contents of a vending machine in the shortest time possible.

After much deliberation and a flood of interested parties, LVHRD and thehappycorp organizers have selected the teams from J. Walter Thompson Advertising (JWT) and the New York City Ballet(NYCB) for the main event showdown. The two competing groups are equally noteworthy: JWT, as the world’s oldest advertising firm, has powerful claims to veteran status in the creative industry, while the NYCB, with athletic discipline and mastery of physical form, will prove that dancers are not to be dismissed for their willowy figures.

The exhibition match for the Vending Machine Challenge will present a classic champion-vs-underdog situation, as members of STUDIO RED at Rockwell Group take on a team from Counts Media Inc. (Yellow Arrow). Having designed a vending machine for Coca-Cola® in the past, Team Red-Rockwell has a clear advantage. However, Team Yellow Arrow’s vegetarian, lactose-intolerant, and Atkins-dieting contenders have expressed that they will rise to the challenge. It’s Red vs. Yellow and both are hungry to win.

Technology firm IconNicholson originally conceived of the idea of a vending machine eating competition several years ago, and the LVHRD Foundation is proud to take the concept to a larger scale. Jennifer Chen of IconNicholson captured the concept of the Vending Machine Challenge when she explained, “The phrase, ‘It’s a vending machine job,’ indicates project deadlines looming large and approaching fast. The vending machine itself has delivered us to victory in many of our major projects.”

Those unable to attend the event are encouraged to stay tuned for the audio and video podcasts that will be aired on thehappycorp.com.
